During this experience you will learn the art of embroidery or tapestry. An experienced artisan will show you the techniques and explain some facts about the history and the Albanian traditions. For the embroidery you will get a handkerchief which is already embroidered with traditional elements on the edges. Then, you can choose a pattern (like a flower) or a phrase to put in the middle and work on that during the workshop, alone or with the help of the artisan. It’s a great souvenir to take home or a gift for a loved one. For the tapestry you will get wool of different colours, with which you can do a little cloth in any pattern that you like. You can participate if you are a complete beginner and also if you have some experience already, we will adjust the assistant and equipment according to you needs and wishes.

You can also combine this experience with the “Traditional Costume Experience” activity that we offer. It’s at the same location and a good combination as you will be making something yourself, learn about techniques and history and dress up in traditional costumes afterwards.
